The normal checks to detect falsehoods always fail. You probably should not gamble with Grifters. However, this does not mean a Grifter’s lies somehow cloud the ordinary senses of another animal. If the Grifter hands a Trader an acorn, and says it is a carrot, the Trader may discount the misstatement, but still treats the acorn like an acorn.
